CHIC FeTE at Vancity Business Babes' #mompreneurpanel

Chic Fete made it’s first vendor appearance at last weekends' #Mompreneurpanel hosted by the lovely Danielle of Vancity Business Babes.  The location was spectacular! It was in the newly built Sky Hangar in Pitt Meadows and it couldn’t have been a more perfect venue.  I mean, how cool is it to walk into a room where sleek, black helicopters are the decoration of choice? Oh you know... here’s the sink, the table, my lamp, the quilt aunt Helga made me…and of course, the helicopters.  Sky Hangar, you are a beauty.

We were super excited to be vendors at this special event! We had just over a week to put everything together so it was definitely crunch time!  We started brainstorming about how we would style and decorate our table and we decided on a soft, pretty, and chic concept. Pink, white and gold became our theme colours which we thought would look perfect with our gold children's chiavari chairs.  Since we wanted to showcase our Petite Rentals such as our exclusive Petite Seats, Petite table, candy jars, and cake stands, and knew we wouldn't be selling anything off the table; we decided to make it a "Vendor Theme".  The idea was to sell our amazing Vendors' talents and connect them with potential clients.  This was the perfect opportunity to reach out to some of our favourite local vendors to help bring our vision to life.  

The amazing Celsia Florist designed the loveliest floral arrangements for our tables, Cookievonster created three cookie designs including our CHIC FêTE logo, La Macaronette created our show-stopping ombre cake as well as some delicious macarons, Marsh And Mallow made us her signature salted caramel and raspberry marshmallows,  Made By Michelle created the perfectly gold speckled chocolate pyramids, Noms By Mon made us some of her famous macarons, Sweet Petite Confectioner shared their flavourful marshmallows, Confetti And Sparkle Party Shop provided the "Best Day Ever" cake topper, and Fun Fiestas By Ili made the pink ombre Fiesta Balloon Set, and tassels garland.  

We set up our tables and chairs next to fabulous vendors, Wanna Collection, Once Upon A Tea Leaf, Ellebox,  Krista Barrett author and founder of the Sparkle Project,  and the wonderful Lorene of Glitter And Spice.  We also got some fantastic black + white photos taken by the lovely Melody Davis from Mode Studios with Fun Fiestas by Ili's Giant Fiesta Balloon.

It was a pleasure being in the company of so many amazing women including inspiring panel speakers Jamie Dunlop Khau of Styling The Inside, Jessica Birak founder of Mint And Birch, and Kristal Barrets from The Sparkle Project.  They spoke candidly of their experiences and shared some valuable advice on running your own business and/or blog.  Perfect for two chic girls starting off on a new business venture!

There is nothing like meeting people you follow and admire on social media, and having them be even more wonderful in person.  That was the case with these women as well as the wonderful bakers, makers, and creators who helped Jacky and I bring our vendor table to life.   Our hearts are full of love from their support and we couldn't be more grateful.
